Diamond spreader tames AI GPU hotspots

A liquid-cooling cold plate, Frore’s LiquidJet Diamond integrates a diamond heat spreader to cool hotspots in high-power-density AI GPUs. Its 3D, short-loop, multistage cooling architecture can be customized to match a GPU’s power map, directing coolant to the hottest areas before cooling the rest of the GPU die, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and other SoC chiplets.

Compared with conventional skived cold plates, LiquidJet Diamond achieves up to 75% higher heat-transfer efficiency and more than 150% higher maximum power density. Frore also claims 16–22°C lower GPU temperatures and 30–35% higher AI tokens-per-watt efficiency.

Beyond thermal performance and hotspot management, LiquidJet Diamond offers a seamless drop-in upgrade for hyperscale data centers. Frore says its manufacturing process combines semiconductor-fabrication precision with the production capacity needed to meet the quality and volume requirements of AI data center deployments.
