Learned Panels
It is the Institution’s intention to convene panels of experts in a timely manner to address specific, important topics relevant to the science and engineering of electronics. Where appropriate these panels may become ‘standing’ but are initially convened to consider a specific question(s) of immediate importance through online and face-to-face means. When warranted, the panels’ deliberations may produce a white paper for dissemination across the electronics industry, academia and the media.
In autumn 2020 the focus is on a panel of practitioners and other experts related to the teaching of electronics in a college setting at levels 3 to 5 (BTEC, HNC, HND) and in particular the challenges presented by Covid-19 to effective and safe electronics education at these levels. Volunteers, with relevant backgrounds, who wish to be considered for this Education Panel should contact the Institution (see details on the “Contact Us” webpage).
