Mixed-signal scope doubles responsiveness

Tektronix has launched the 4 Series B mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO), enabling quicker analysis and faster data transfer speeds. The MSO offers the same signal fidelity and touch user interface as the earlier version 4 Series, but with an upgraded processor system. According to Tektronix, the user interface on the 4 Series B is twice as responsive and provides accelerated advanced analysis.

Among the MSO’s attributes are bandwidths from 200 MHz to 1.5 GHz, real-time sampling at 6.25 Gsamples/s, and 12-bit vertical resolution (16-bit in high res mode). With up to six analog input channels, the scope is suitable for three-phase power analysis. Tektronix Spectrum View technology provides multichannel spectrum analysis in sync with time domain waveforms.

In addition to accelerating front-panel operation, the upgraded processor system also enhances remote operation. The 4 Series B can be remotely accessed and controlled using a simple web browser, dedicated TekScope PC software, or custom program via a programming interface. More than 25 serial decode packages are available for interchip, automotive, power, and aerospace buses, to name a few.

The 4 Series B mixed-signal oscilloscope is available now, with a base price of $8830.
