TVS device targets USB4 and Thunderbolt 4

A single-channel transient voltage suppressor (TVS) from AOS, the AOZ8S207BLS-01 provides ESD protection for high-speed interfaces like USB4 and Thunderbolt 4. The device packs two unidirectional TVS diodes in a single 0.6×0.3×0.3-mm leadless surface-mount package, enabling it to meet the small footprint requirements of USB Type-C connectors.

Key specifications for the AOZ8S207BLS-01 include a reverse working voltage (VRWM) of 1 V maximum, reverse breakdown voltage (VBR) of 1.5 V typical, peak pulse current (IPP) of 5 A maximum, and junction capacitance (CJ) of 0.15 pF typical. The ESD rating per IEC61000-4-2 standards is ±16 kV for both contact and air, along with an ESD rating of ±8 kV human body model (HBM).

The AOZ8S207BLS-01 transient voltage suppressor costs $66 each in lots of 1000 units. It is immediately available in production quantities with a lead time of 16 weeks.
