Software automates mobile app testing

Eggplant 7.0 from Keysight enables quality assurance (QA) teams to test mobile apps on multiple devices and operating systems simultaneously. The enhanced automated test software can test more than 7500 operating system and device combinations through Sauce Labs’ Real Device Cloud.

Version 7.0 provides QA teams with improved collaboration features, seamless integration with version control and continuous integration (CI) tools, and the ability to connect with virtualized applications. Together, these capabilities enable automation and acceleration, while mitigating the risks inherent in manual testing.

Eliminating the need for costly device labs, Eggplant 7.0 provides instant test execution on any device and operating system via Sauce Labs’ cloud platform without having to manage physical devices. Running test cases simultaneously reduces overall test time and accelerates release cycles.

The test software now integrates with the Git version control system to allow teams to roll back to previous versions, compare changes, and collaborate across multiple branches. Eggplant also works with popular CI tools to incorporate test automation into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to identify and fix issues.
