Kit accelerates STM32H5 MCU development
The STM32H5731-DK Discovery kit from ST allows developers to build secure, connected IoT devices based on the STM32H5 microcontroller. User can explore all the integrated features of the STM32H5— including analog peripherals, adaptive real-time accelerator (ART), media interfaces, and mathematical accelerators—as well as core security services certified and maintained by ST.
Along with the STM32H5 MCU, the development board furnishes a color touch display, digital microphone, and USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi interfaces. An audio codec, flash memory, and headers for connecting expansion shields and daughterboards are also provided.
To simplify the development process, the STM32CubeH5 MCU software package supplies the components required to develop an application on the STM32H5 microcontroller, including examples and application code. ST also offers the STM32CubeMX tool for configuring and initializing the MCU.
The STM32H5 employs an Arm Cortex-M33 MCU core running at 250 MHz and is the first to support ST’s Secure Manager system-on-chip security features. It combines Arm TrustZone security with ST’s STM32Trust framework to comply with PSA Certified Level 3 and Global Platform SESIP3 security specifications.
The Discovery kit board cost $98.75 and is available through ST’s eStore and authorized distributors.
