Camera kit simplifies multi-camera AI development

Innodisk offers the GMSL2 camera starter kit, which bundles four 3-Mpixel cameras, a MIPI CSI-2-to-GMSL2 capture card, and accessories. The kit provides a ready-to-use platform for developing and validating multi-camera systems for edge AI vision applications.

GMSL2 is a high-speed serial link for real-time video transmission, supporting forward-channel data rates of up to 6 Gbps. The starter kit includes camera source code for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, the platform used to run the system. The pre-integrated hardware and software reduce the need for component sourcing, complex system-level integration, driver debugging, and tuning.

In addition to the four fixed-focus GMSL2 camera modules and capture card, the kit comes with four 1-meter GMSL2 FAKRA cables, a power adapter, and power cords.  Target edge AI applications include blind spot detection and ADAS for heavy-duty vehicles, as well as object recognition and environmental perception for humanoid robots and autonomous mobile robots.

After initial validation with the starter kit, Innodisk offers customization services ranging from hardware fine-tuning to application deployment in edge environments.
