Bluetooth LE transceiver delivers multiple audio streams

Certified to the Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio standard, the NXH3675 single-chip 2.4-GHz transceiver provides high-quality audio with ultra-low power consumption and latency. The highly integrated chip will allow developers to create innovative audio products with broadcasting capabilities and multiple audio streams and data channels.

The NXH3675 implements Bluetooth 5.3 LE’s Auracast broadcast audio with scan and delegator features for creative audio-sharing use cases. Low Complexity Communications Codecs LC3/LC3+ provide high resolution audio even at low data rates. The chip’s dedicated Arm Cortex-M0+ processor supports the full link-layer protocol up to the HCI level, enabling multi-stream applications with up to seven streams simultaneously.

Additionally, the part features a dual CoolFlux DSP for audio processing of the LC3/LC3+ codecs, along with audio and voice enhancements such as equalization, compression, gain control, and mixing. Target applications for the NXH3675 include gaming headsets, hearing aids, soundbars, and wireless headphones, earbuds, speakers, and microphones.

Housed in a 48-bump WLCSP, the NXH3675 is sampling now. NXP offers a starter kit for debug and evaluation purposes, a software development kit, and gaming headset and dongle application kits.
