Handheld enclosures gain IP65 protection

Large and extra-large SMART-CASE handheld enclosures from OKW are now available with optional IP65 ingress protection. The ergonomic cases feature contoured designs for user comfort and are well suited for remote control devices in medical, consumer, and industrial applications.

The complete SMART-CASE lineup comprises four sizes: XS (2.28×1.40×0.75 in.), M (3.78×1.85×0.95 in.), L (5.51×2.47×1.20 in.), and XL (6.61×2.93×1.39 in.). Options include an eyelet for key rings, a pre-fitted cable gland, and a battery compartment for two AA, two AAA, or one 9-V battery. IP65 protection is available only for L and XL cases without a battery compartment. Most variants also feature a recessed operating area that protects a membrane keypad or product label.

The SMART-CASE enclosures are molded from ABS plastic or infrared-permeable PMMA, both of which carry a UL 94 HB flammability rating. Standard colors are off-white and black, with custom colors available on request. Multiple accessories and customization services are also available.
