Signal relay targets high-density applications

Operating up to 3 GHz, the MM1205 six-channel SPST relay from Menlo Micro is useful for signal switching applications in DC, analog, and RF circuits. The device, which integrates a relay driver and charge pump, combines the high isolation of a conventional low-signal mechanical relay and the reliability of a semiconductor relay.

The MM1205 offers flexible configuration to suit different signal topologies, including 6x SPST, 2x SP3T, 3x SP2T, and 1x SP6T. It has a maximum DC contact rating of 1 A per channel (2 A total package) for 38 V per channel. Other key specifications include an off-state capacitance of 45 fF typical, off-state leakage current of 250 fA typical, and switching time of 17 µs typical.

Additionally, the MM1205 handles RF power levels up to 25 W continuous and 200 W pulsed. This reliable relay is capable of performing 3 billion switching operations and can be used in high-density switch matrices and automated test and measurement systems, as well as scientific and medical applications.

The MM1205 is housed in an 8×8-mm LGA package and requires 3.3-V and 5-V external supplies to operate. Contact sales@menlomicro.com for ordering and pricing information.
