Heterogeneous framework advances blockchain computing
HeteroBlock from WiMi combines cloud servers, general-purpose computers, and FPGAs to form an efficient blockchain heterogeneous computing framework. Unlike conventional isomorphic blockchain computing, where all nodes have the same computing capability, the HeteroBlock framework assigns different computational tasks to heterogeneous nodes. This not only enhances the utilization of computing resources, but also expands the potential for blockchain technology.
The HeteroBlock framework comprises four modules for data control, serial transmission, serial reception, and the completion of bit flag prompting. Each local computer, cloud server, and FPGA is considered as a blockchain node. These nodes work together to accelerate the computation of blockchain behaviors.
By combining relevant communication protocols and software algorithms, the framework improves the blockchain network structure and accommodates both general-purpose computing nodes and heterogeneous nodes. With the support of the HeteroBlock framework, blockchain can be adapted to a variety of applications, including financial transactions, supply chain management, digital identity verification, and IoT device interaction.
